Friday Night Funkin', a music-themed game influenced by PaRappa the Rapper and Dance Dance Revolution, has a new, fully updated mod. V.S Hex Mod is a Friday Night Funkin mod that can be accessed as a bonus week. The game opens with Boyfriend and Girlfriend talking about their battle with Whitty until they’re interrupted by Hex. Since Boyfriend doesn’t play basketball, Hex invites him to an epic sing-off.
You must use your WASD or arrow keys to align each floating arrow as closely as possible. The meter at the bottom of the screen will decide the result of each round. The meter has the option to switch to the left or right. When you win, it will move to the left, and when you lose, it will move to the right. Depending on how good you're doing, the meter will turn green or red.
You can choose to play this game in one of 3 modes: Easy, Intermediate, and Hard. Unlike Whitty, Hex is not as challenging so it’s more forgiving to users who are new to the rhythm game genre. There is, however, 1 extremely fast-paced song. After Hex and Boyfriend conclude their beatboxing duel, Hex is taken over by a computer virus. It’s up to Boyfriend to beatbox the virus out of Hex.

Avid Friday Night Funkin players should try out the V.S. Hex mod. It is easier to finish than other Friday Night Funkin mods, but it will still challenge your precision and beat timing. The addition of the cutscenes and dialogue creates more in-depth lore than what you see on screen. It makes the game much more interesting to play since you— and the characters— know what’s going beyond the matches.
